Enjoyed a family reunion in the private dining room on 8/31. We ended up with more people than we booked and they couldn't have been more helpful or more accommodating. They quickly reconfigured the table all the while making sure everyone had a drink. Cassidy, our server, was terrific. Everyone enjoyed their food. All the pastas were particularly good. Don't let the strip mall location scare you. The place is great. I'll definitely go next time I'm back in Springfield.

We were in town passing through for one evening and stopped in here for dinner. Food was delicious. My husband ordered the special-a bone in ribeye- that was HUGE!
I ordered the shrimp scampi off the Appetizer menu, but it was very saucy. More sauce than I would have preferred.
The food took a while to come, maybe 30 minutes, but overall it was worth it.
The location doesn't look like it would be a very nice restaurant, but once inside, you forgot you were in a strip center. -

Everything was amazing. Lobster ravioli was life changing. The strip mall it's in looks rough, you get inside and you feel transported to a classy Italian vibe.

Five isn't enough stars! I don't know why we had never been here before. We made a 7pm reservation and were seated promptly. The server was so incredibly attentive to every detail! Seriously probably the best service we have ever gotten in Springfield.
I was torn between the short rib ravioli and the ribeye. I asked the server to choose for me and he said "how hungry are you? I told him I was famished and he said "we literally have the best rib eye in town but it's big". So I went with it.
We saw a tip on another review that said they will split a salad in the kitchen. So we split a Cesar salad. Good thing! Even the half portion was pretty big for a starter.
Honestly, it's a BIG ribeye probably about 12 Oz. but prepare and seasoned perfectly. My veggie mix was very tasty and well seasoned. The mash was a bit dry for my preference but I had enough of the Gorgonzola steak sauce that it paired nicely to the mash. I stopped gorging myself about halfway through the steak (because hubby promised me dessert) and the waiter didn't bring me a box but took my plate and boxed my food for me. Awwww!!!
Hubby had the Halibut special that came with crab ravioli. He was impressed with everything on his plate. He raves about this ravs!! He all but licked his plate clean.
He also ordered a Woodford mule and enjoyed that very much.
We opted for dessert and hubby ordered an Irish coffee to go with that. So here is a great image of how awesome our server was. After about 3-4 minutes, he came over an apologized for the delay in his coffee. They had run out of Baileys. He apologized again for that and offered a few other choices. Hubby opted for Jameson's. About 2 minutes later the server came back and apologized again but they were needing to brew more coffee. Hubs assured him all was good. The server seems genuinely distraught over what other servers would have problem fluffed off because we were literally talking about a scant few minutes. No one else offers that kind of service around here!!!
The desserts are all house made which frankly is a lost art in the restaurant business. Many have succumbed to buying desserts from wholesale clubs or buying them from a supplier (shudder!!!!). Chef Tony's sister makes all of their desserts and you can tell. We had the tiramisu and it was delicious, flavorful and beautiful.
This is by far a place we are adding to our top picks in the 417! Start to finish a fantastic experience! I already know where we will spend Valentines Day!!!
Somethings you should know:
*because of the price point, some would save this as a special occasion treat. By all means, if you want to come for Valentines Day or an anniversary you will not be sad. Just make a reservation as soon as you know you want to go.
*its a bit noisy because of the small space and that it is a very busy restaurant. So maybe if noise is a factor in your decision, plan an early dinner before it gets full
*tell them it's your first time and you will get a very sweet history of the business which is truly a family business! Chef Tony's whole family including his parents are involved. -

Had a lovely dinner here. The lobster ravioli was excellent. Order the chocolate lava cake at the end. It is the perfect amount of chocolate and ice cream.
